American Basin, Yankee Boy Basin, Governor Basin

3 Day Photo Tour & Photography Workshop

July 22-23, 2017      FULL

July 29-30, 2017

Crested Butte is the wildflower capital of Colorado,
but the high alpine basins above Lake City and Ouray are better!

We used to run this workshop in conjunction with the Crested Butte Wildflower Festival, but that was before I discovered the high alpine basins above Ouray, Colorado, high in the San Juan Mountain.  Bu basing out of Ridgway, Colorado we miss out on the overpriced lodging and crowds in Crested Butte.  We spend 2 day working both in treeline basins and in the valleys where there are acres of flowers to work at each location.  If you're not a Colorado resident you will likely experience the Colorado Rockies that few people ever see!  An added bonus in 2016 is that even though this does not coincide with the new moon, the moon sets late in the afternoon, so we will be able to venture out and try some night photography!  I've extended this workshop to three days for 2018 to include the incomparable American Basin near Lake City

The limit for this workshop is 6 people.  The $900 fee does not include lodging or meals but we will arrange that for you.

We will do a Photoshop session as time allows during our mid-day downtime where we will edit your images so you will go home with files that are ready to print.  Bring your laptop or at least a flash drive.
