Bob Maynard Bio:

Photo Tour Guide, Nature Photographer & Photo Workshop Instructor


National award-winning nature photographer Bob Maynard's work is carried by several galleries throughout Colorado and Utah.  Having accumulated over 1500 photo credits, his images have appeared in Audubon, Images magazine, Rocky Mountain Raptor Center publications and in several corporate offices.  He is past chairman of the Louisville National Juried Photography Show and provides photo tour, photography workshop and corporate wall art services in Colorado, the Everglades and Utah.  He is a Photoshop instructor and a retailer for the DuraPlaq mounting processes.  His single and multi-day workshops are custom tailored to each individual.  He has held or currently holds Commericial Use Permits for Rocky Mountain National Park, Crested Butte for the wildflower season, the Everglades and the Florida Gulf Coast, Canyonlands National Park, Arches National Park and the Cedar Mesa BLM area.  His Moab/Cedar Mesa "Trail of the Ancients" workshops are unique in the business and provide legal, guided access to several unmapped ruin areas in the desert Southwest.  We offer a unique 5-day workshop "The Everglades and the Florida Gulf Coast" that starts on Honeymoon Island off Tampa Bay and works its way down the Gulf coast with a private canoe trip into Ding Darling Reserve on Sanibel Island, shooting on private land on Sanibel and then focusing on Big Cypress Preserve and Everglades National Park.  Bob is a leader in the field of lighting for night photography in the desert southwest and a 34 piece exhibit of desert SW night photography hung in the Edge of Cedars Museum in Blanding, Utah, in 2016 and 2017.  Current planning is ongoing for a 10 day excursion through the desert southwest beginning in Canyonlands and Arches and progressing through Cedar Mesa, Monument Valley, the Navaho Reservation, Antelope Canyon, White Rocks, Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, the Grand Canyon, and Bryce and Zion.  Other new workshops are being planned in Alaska in the Clark's Lake Wilderness Area (Alaska Brown Bears), Montana wildlife, and Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.

Bob's ever-growing cadre of sponsors include ThinkTank camera gear, Topaz Labs software, onOne Software, DuraPlaq production systems, and Helicon Focus software of the Ukraine.

His photography is exhibited by corporations throughout Colorado, including the offices of David Miller MD and Katrina Klaren in Louisville, Wright Kingdom Real Estate in Boulder and Longmont, Great Western Bank in Louisville, the Fork Restaurant in Lyons, the Barking Dog Cafe in Lyons, Bear Creek Dental in Boulder, Coal Creek Physical Therapy in Boulder, Spirit Hound Distilllery in Lyons, the Edge of Cedars Museum in Blanding, Utah and the Rocky Mountain Rehab Center for raptors in Ft. Collins.  The Edge of Cedars Museum, on the edge of Cedar Mesa, Utah, markets his photography, posters and photography workshops.  Some of his work was used in a BBC reality TV series in 2011.

Bob is a dynamic speaker and presenter for photography clubs and art associations and is always eager to share his enthusiam for photography.

Bob has lived in Colorado since 1969 and has been exploring the Colorado, the Everglades Moab, Canyonlands, Arches, Cedar Mesa and the desert southwest since 1984.
