One day last week I got up at 4 AM, drove to the Bear Lake parking lot in Rocky Mountain National Park, and hiked 1.2 miles up to Dream Lake.

Fall Photography Workshops in the Colorado Rocky Mountains Thursday, August 20th, 2009

Fall is advancing rapidly onto the Colorado Plateau and will provide us plenty of opportunities for photography workshops in Rocky Mountain National Park, Boulder and southwest Colorado the aspen leaves will begin their transition to gold in about 2+ weeks (by September 10).

One of the toughest shots for me was getting the “aspen” shot I had dreamed of.

I took time out from guiding in Moab and Rocky Mountain National Park to attend an invitation-only visit to the Mexican Cut Nature Preserve near Crested Butte over the weekend.
